  Hello residents of Richmond! Through our collaboration with the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA), the City of Richmond Department of Social Services remains committed to our mission to improve the quality of life for all people of the City of Richmond. Your Voice Matters ! In 2018, we asked you how we were doing, and we’re asking you again now. On the heels of a public health emergency and during a movement toward racial truth and reconciliation, it is more important than ever that we hear from you about the services that we provide to our City. Over the course of the next four weeks, residents of the City of Richmond will have an opportunity to share their thoughts by participating in a short survey. Encuesta del Departamento de Servicios Sociales (DSS) para los habitantes de Richmond

  ¡Saludos, habitantes de Richmond! A través de nuestra colaboración con la Asociación Estadounidense de Servicios Humanos Públicos (por su sigla en inglés, APHSA), seguimos comprometidos en el Departamento de Servicios Sociales de Richmond (por su sigla en inglés, DSS) con nuestra misión de mejorar la calidad de vida para todos los habitantes de Richmond.   ¡Nos importa su opinión! En el 2018 les preguntamos cómo estábamos haciendo las cosas y ahora se los volvemos a preguntar. En medio de una emergencia de salud pública y durante un movimiento hacia la verdad y la reconciliación entre las razas, es más importante que nunca que podamos escuchar sus opiniones acerca de los servicios que le brindamos a nuestra ciudad.   Durante las próximas cuatro semanas, los habitantes de Richmond tendrán la oportunidad de compartir sus opiniones al participar en una breve encuesta. City Offices Closed April 2 for Spring Holiday / Good Friday

City Offices Closed April 2 for Spring Holiday / Good Friday City government offices, including City Hall, will be closed on Friday, April 2 for the Spring Holiday / Good Friday. City offices will resume normal business hours on Monday, April 5. This closure includes all branches of the Richmond Public Library. The East End, Hull Street and North Avenue branches will also be closed Saturday, April 3. All branches of the Richmond Public Library will reopen for curbside services on Monday, April 5. Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) is closed to the public, but staff is on site from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day to accommodate essential business functions. All adoptions are scheduled by appointment only until further notice. All Parks, Recreation & Community facilities offices and city community centers will be closed April 2. This closure also includes all indoor and outdoor swimming pools. All Department of Public Works offices will also be closed. There will be no trash or bulk co
