Third installment of OMBD industry-specific webinar Friday, May 1

In an effort to provide small businesses with direction on how to navigate through the current COVID-19 crisis, the City of Richmond’s Office of Minority Business Development (OMBD) will host another disaster resource webinar. Housing and Community Development Notice of Funding Availability

The city publicized Tuesday, April 21 a federal and local fund package intended to help service providers meet housing needs in the City of Richmond. Read the release here.  The application for federal funds from the FY 2020-21 CARES Act (including CDBG, ESG and HOPWA) and for local funds from the FY20 Affordable Housing Trust Fund is available here.  NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY  FOR CDBG-CV, ESG-CV, HOPWA-CV and City Affordable Housing Trust Fund  With the adoption of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act)  the City of Richmond is issuing a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the allocation of  $2,683,549 in  Community Development Block Grant (CDBG),  $1,351,959 in  Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) and  $194,445 in  Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA).     In addition, The City’s Administration is recommending the City Council approve an addition...

City Offering Amnesty for Past Due Parking Fines

Tickets must be paid by August 31 In light of the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on those who live and work in the city of Richmond, the city is offering amnesty on penalties applied to overdue parking citations .   Those who received parking tickets on or after March 16 will have additional fines and penalties waived as long as the original ticketed amount is paid by August 31, 2020. Those who currently owe money for parking tickets and overdue penalties prior to March 16 will have their amounts due frozen, and will not accrue additional fines and penalties during the amnesty period as long as they satisfy their balances by August 31, 2020.  DMV related hold fees are not included in the amnesty program.
